WSTI does not have accounts, does not ask for your email, and does not keep your answers or your results. This page explains what that means precisely, including the few things that do happen.

Your answers

When you finish the inventory, your forty responses are sent for scoring, which calculates your result and sends it back. They are used for that calculation and then discarded. They are never written to a database, never saved to a file, and never associated with you.

Your results

Your result is not stored anywhere. It is encoded into the web address of your results page, after the # symbol. Everything after a # in a web address stays inside your browser and is never transmitted to a web server — so the link itself is the only copy of your result, and it belongs to you.

That also means we cannot retrieve your result for you. If you lose the link, it is gone, and you would need to take the inventory again.

While you are answering

As you work through the statements, your answers are held temporarily in your own browser so that refreshing the page or navigating away does not lose your progress. This never leaves your device, and it is cleared when you finish the inventory or close the tab.

What our host records

This site is hosted by Netlify. Like every web host, Netlify automatically records technical information about requests — your IP address, the time of the request, and your browser type — for security, abuse prevention and operating the service. We do not use this information to identify you or to build a profile, and we do not connect it to your answers. It is handled under Netlify's privacy policy.

Cookies and tracking

WSTI sets no cookies. There is no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics. Nobody is following you around the internet on our account.

We do not sell or share your information

Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Your answers are not a product, and they are never sent to an employer. WSTI is not a hiring tool and is not used to screen, rank or evaluate anyone.

Links to other services

Your results page links to ROB at scalate.ai, which is a separate Scalate product with its own privacy policy and its own accounts. Following that link takes you off WSTI. Nothing about your work style is passed to it.

Children

WSTI is intended for adults thinking about their working life. It is not directed at children, and we ask that it not be used by anyone under 16.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, the EU, or another region with data protection laws, you have rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. In WSTI's case there is nothing to act on, because we hold nothing about you. If you have a question about that, or about the request logs described above, contact us at wsti@scalate.net.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your information, we will update the date at the top of this page. If we ever begin storing results or adding analytics, we will say so here plainly before doing it.
